Bonded for years, Fish and Chips once lived on a busy Miami bridge. When construction made their home unsafe, they came to Artemis House. Now they spend their days lounging together, greeting each other with head-butts, and waiting impatiently for dinner.

Fish and Chips had already chosen each other long before they came to Artemis House.
The bonded pair lived for years on the side of a busy bridge in Miami, nestled between the ocean and the higway --surviving together in an environment filled with traffic, noise, weather, and all the dangers that come with living outdoors in a city.
Then construction began to change the area they called home. Their familiar territory was becoming increasingly unsafe, and the two cats needed somewhere else to go.
They came to Artemis House together.
That part mattered. Fish and Chips had already built their own little family, and rescue did not mean separating them from the relationship that had helped them survive.
Today they still spend much of their time together. They lounge side by side, greet one another with affectionate head-butts, and share a deep commitment to being present whenever dinner might conceivably happen.
The bridge is behind them now.
Fish and Chips still have each other, only now they also have a safe place to call home.
