Life at Artemis House

Once fully paralyzed due to FIP, Goblin enjoys the sanctuary

What we do
We take in cats who are displaced, abandoned, or at risk. Every rescue begins with safety, compassion, and a stable place to land.
Rescue
Some cats arrive with visible injuries. Others carry wounds that take longer to show. We provide medical care, consistency, and a place to rebuild trust.
Rehabilitate
When adoption is the right path, we place cats into stable, thoughtful homes. Each match is made with care, for the cat and the family.
Rehome
Some cats stay with us for life due to age or health. For them, Artemis House is home --where care and compassion continues when adoption isn’t possible.
Sanctuary

It started with one cat
Artemis House began with one simple choice: not to look away.
What started with rescuing one cat grew into a place for those who need care, time, and a second chance.
Today, Artemis House is a rescue and sanctuary where cats can recover, be safe, and when possible, find a forever home.
Our cats live as cats — roaming freely across fenced, wooded grounds rather than in cages or kennels. Cats with special medical needs have their own dedicated spaces where they're equally free to explore.
Artemis House opened its doors in 2026. We are currently caring for 60+ cats on six acres in North Central Florida. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit application is in progress.
